Pega LSA interview questions: Worth to note

For the past few years i have attended many interviews and i have interviewed many people. I would like to list the questions what i faced and remembered as of today. May help others for their preparation.

Case Management:

1. An organization has few applications built using Org layer with different casing without looking at the future reusability.

   Ex: XYZ-

   Xyz-

   xYz-

   But if a reusable application need to be used across all applications and if organization wants to standardize the org layer class so that it can be reusable across all of the apps. What is the best solution?

2. From the parent case, if a child case has to be launched automatically based on some condition. Explain the steps to implement the solution?

3. How reusable templates for the case configuration can be created?

4. Explain the parallel processing in the case management? Is it really parallel processing?

5. How does locking mechanism works for parent, child and the types of locking mechanism?

6. What are recent functionalities available in the case management which are very helpful for the native and citizen developers?

   
   

Integration:

1. If a case need to be launched in external application with out logging into pega, what are the ways or best way?

2. How can we implement Web mashup, explain with every step along with security?

3. If a requirement to load 500k records into pega and create case for each record if the data is matched with certain condition. What is the best and optimized way to do this without impacting performance of the application?

4. How pega generates urls for various components, ex: case, assignment, reports etc

5. If a mobile user needs to access pega case by clicking on a link from the email sent to him, how this can be implemented?

6. If pega wants to expose a service, what are all components involved to implement the service?

7. When a pega service is exposed, one of the tenant is trying to call the service and not able to reach the service. What could be the reason?

8. How the exception handling is done for various types of exception in a service?

9. Pega wants to consume a connector into the application. But due to the lack of planning other team is not yet done with the service and not shared end point utl and other required attributes. But dev team should be able to test and replicate same to finish the development? What is the best way to do this?

10. Requirement is to create case for each email received to certain email address and also read the data, map it and attach the documents to the case if any are attached to the email. What are the steps to do this?

11. Explain steps to implement pega integration with splunk

Security:

1. Explain, how an application can be secured against different threats?

2. What kind of attacks are possible on the pega applications and ways to prevent the attacks?

3. If pega application need to allow user to access pega web mashup with out any authentication. How can it be implemented?

4. Explain in what ways pega applications can be authenticated?

5. Explain how SSO can be implemented in Pega with detailed steps and configurations?

6. What is the difference between OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML?

7. Explain how OAuth2.0 works step by step?

8. If some of the fields need to be masked for a set of users and shown to a set of users, what is the best way to protect the data exposure?
